JP Dakak joined Parker MacIntyre as an associate attorney in 2025. Mr. Dakak represents investment advisers and broker-dealers in matters involving compliance, regulatory matters, investigations, mergers and acquisitions and general business. Mr. Dakak also consults issuers in private placements and securities offerings, including hedge fund formation, regulation, and compliance.

Graduating from the University of Georgia School of Law in 2022, Mr. Dakak worked exclusively in private practice, representing clients in tax controversy matters, including every stage from IRS examination to final resolution of Tax Court. Mr. Dakak also drafted and reviewed a breadth of contracts pertinent to business formation, corporate governance, and liquidation.

While at UGA, Mr. Dakak gained a taste for securities regulation when his Securities Regulation course prompted his application to an SEC internship. Mr. Dakak subsequently spent his entire third year of law school interning full-time with the Commission.

Prior to law school, Mr. Dakak earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and Management at the University of South Carolina.

Despite leaving his hometown of Knoxville, Tennessee for schooling, Mr. Dakak remains a diehard Tennessee sports fan, to the chagrin of his colleagues at work, his law school classmates, and just about everyone in his personal life.

When out of the office, if the Vols aren’t playing, Mr. Dakak can likely be found watching a movie with his fiancée, Cameron.
