Ms. Oberlies provides regulatory and compliance support and advice to registered investment advisers and broker dealers. While with Parker MacIntyre, she has provided clients with compliance services, assisted with regulatory filings, and drafted and revised compliance policies and procedures.
Ms. Oberlies received her Bachelor of Arts degree, cum laude, in economics and international affairs from Florida State University in Tallahassee, Florida (2012), and her Juris Doctorate, cum laude, from the Catholic University of America Columbus School of Law in Washington, DC (2018). While at Catholic University, she completed the Student Honors Program with the Division of Trading and Markets of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission and interned with the U.S. House Committee on Financial Services. She also served as an Associate Editor for the Catholic University Law Review.
Prior to joining Parker MacIntyre, she worked in the Office of Disaster Assistance of the U.S. Small Business Administration, where she facilitated the disbursement of Economic Injury Disaster Loans to small businesses. Before that, she served as the judicial law clerk to the Honorable S. James Sarbanes on the Circuit Court for Wicomico County in Salisbury, Maryland, where she assisted the judge with criminal and civil dockets, and as an Assistant State’s Attorney for Wicomico County, where she primarily prosecuted misdemeanor cases.
Ms. Oberlies is licensed to practice law in Georgia, Maryland, and the District of Columbia. She lives in Brookhaven with her husband Mike, their cat Rupert, and their dog Gus.
